Hi, I'm Jordan Huxtable.
I live in Swansea and I have had an interest in art and design
ever since I was a young child.

I excelled at art in school and also went to college for graphic design but have since mostly used my passion for my own needs with occasional freelancing. I have felt creatively unfilled in my world of work for a long time now and don't want to waste any more time on things I don't feel passionate about so I am now actively pursuing work within the design world.

My other passion is playing music and also spend a lot of free time recording my bands music as well as other bands when I can. A lot of my work thus far is based around things such as cover artwork and layouts for music releases (singles / EP's / Albums) as well as posters for gigs, shows and events, T-shirt designs, stickers and other promotional material or events.

I have many years of experience in using photoshop, recently begun to gain a deeper understanding of illustrator, and a limited but decent use of pemiere pro for video making. I like to both edit existing images and to create my own whether they be drawn in using my table or with photographs.
I also have experience using wix to design websites as I have used it to create my bands own site.
I am always trying new ideas to push myself to get better at what I do and become a stronger designer in aspects I feel I can improve my abilities on
MOST RECENT
CHESHIRE CAT TEE DESIGN
Recently I've been working on my illustrator skills with the main goal being to design a new t-shirt for my band to sell online and at shows. I used my graphics tablet to draw in the design free hand and tweaked the paths, stroke styles and colours until I was happy with the design. I blended a spiral pattern with the body to give it trippy effect based on the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland.

We got the t-shirt's screen printed and I'm very happy with the end product feeling I got a lot of valued experience and knowledge of illustrator from the project overall
RESTORATION
70'S SPEEDWAY IMAGE
One aspect of work I have dabbled in on occasion is photo restoration. Recently my father asked me if It would be possible to fix this photo of him riding at a speedway event in the 70's. It was a challenge due to a lot of damage being in a less than ideal place but after many hours I think it came out pretty good.
SWANSEA FRINGE FESTIVAL
POSTER DESIGN
In 2021 my band headlined one of the stages for the annual Swansea Fringe Festival.

To help out promote the event I designed an eye catching poster of a somewhat demonic fortune teller which fit the vibe of the bands playing that day. I've always enjoyed designed posters for shows and have done many over the years for many different gigs.
AMP'D UP LOGO DESIGN
Recently I did some freelance work for a promoter I know,
She needed a logo design with the brief including the promotion name in the mouth of a skull. I did a bunch of variants to cover all uses she may need whether it be for social media pages or a potential T-Shirt design she may want to produce in future. I mainly used illustrator to accomplish this design. I opted to keep it fairly straight forward instead of over complicating it seeing as it would be used as a logo at it's core.

STICKER DESIGNS
Here is a set of nine potential sticker designs that i've recently been working on for my band.

We'll likely get some printed up and possibly use left over designs in the future if needed
