Influenced by rock titans QOTSA, experimental sludge kings (the) Melvins and prog metal masters Mastodon, HotR wear their influences on their sleeves to brew their own concoctions of what they think makes a good rock n' roll song.

The band has shared the stage with former QOTSA / Kyuss bass player Nick Oliveri on three separate occasions even playing some Queens and Kyuss classics with the man himself. They have also shared the stage with past Queens members Joey Castillo (B'last!) Dave Catching & Gene Trautmann (Star & Dagger). Other key moments in the bands history includes shows alongside Ikey Owens (RIP) of The Mars Volta, 

The Subways and Japan's Electric Eel Shock.
